Under the framework of learner factors and autonomous learning theory, this paper studies how motivation influences the autonomous learning of English learners via an empirical study on Business English majors at a university in Beijing, with a view to enriching the relevant theoretical study of autonomous learning and to promoting Business English teaching and personnel training. Based on the findings of the study, suggestions to enhance the habits and abilities of Business English learners are proposed: pay enough attention to both integrative and instrumental motivation boost autonomous learning.
