Abstract

This study focuses on the mental health education of college students in private colleges and adopts the SCL-90 scale to systematically analyze the effects of gender, only-child status, grade level, place of origin and family economic status on the dimensions of mental health, and to explore in depth the multiple factors affecting college students' mental health and their internal mechanisms. The study innovatively proposes to build an education system that adapts to the psychological characteristics of students in private colleges and universities, develops targeted mental health education content, pays special attention to the mental health problems of poor students from underdeveloped regions, and implements precise intervention strategies. The results of the study provide a theoretical basis and a practical path for improving the scientific and effective mental health education in private colleges and enhancing students' mental health literacy, and provide an important reference for promoting the high-quality development of mental health education in private colleges and universities.
