Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic, nonspecific inflammatory condition of the intestines. Its varying degrees of symptoms significantly impact patients' quality of life. Sleep disorders are prevalent among IBD patients. This review will explore the relationship between sleep disorders and inflammatory bowel disease by examining assessment tools for sleep disorders, mechanisms influencing disease activity, and current treatment advances.
