Abstract

The acceleration of urbanization and the awakening of individualized consciousness among young people have driven the expansion of the "empty-nest youth" group. Their multi-dimensional individualized predicament has become increasingly prominent, covering areas such as real life, career development, social relationships, and mental health. Moreover, it is influenced by both macro social factors and micro individual and family factors, making it difficult for a single subject to break through. Social work, relying on the professional concept of "helping others to help themselves", through multiple paths such as macro policy advocacy, meso community support, micro individual empowerment and family system intervention, can specifically respond to the core needs of empty-nest youth, help them alleviate difficulties and achieve capacity building, and at the same time provide practical references for improving the youth social support system.
