As the most popular sports event in current society, urban marathon has its own laws of existence and development, and is deeply welcomed and favored by the urban masses. The 2025 Wuhan Marathon is the eighth marathon event held in Wuhan. Although it has made significant improvement in various aspects compared to the first Wuhan Marathon, there are still certain problems due to the influence of event investment and project settings. Therefore, the author uses literature review and logical analysis to analyze the Wuhan Marathon since 2016, explores its advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and challenges, and aims to provide countermeasures and suggestions for Wuhan to host the next high-level marathon event.
