Art exhibitions organized by museums and art galleries have become vital mobile platforms for national cultural outreach. Drawing from the Ninth Beijing International Art Biennale, this study examines the developmental potential of contemporary Chinese art exhibitions within in a framework of “national consciousness” through three analytical dimensions: artistic experience, national discourse, and exhibition trajectories within a global context. The author argues that the spiritual dimension in modern art exhibitions has been neglected, emphasizes the crucial role of “national consciousness” in curatorial practices. By harnessing the window effect of art exhibitions to transform sensory experiences into tangible bodily engagements, this research provides practical insights for shaping China's cultural leadership, guiding public artistic engagement, and establishing national consciousness-driven art production mechanisms in the new era.
