Abstract

Obesity is the most common chronic disease worldwide, with numerous adverse health effects. In addition to contributing to type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, obesity increases the risk of conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea and osteoarthritis. Furthermore, it is closely associated with impaired male reproductive health. In recent years, as global obesity rates have risen dramatically, male reproductive health disorders have also increased significantly. This paper reviews the relationship between obesity and male reproductive dysfunction, explores the underlying mechanisms of obesity-related male infertility, and proposes potential interventions to improve reproductive health outcomes.
