As a cultural treasure of the Chinese nation, traditional Chinese music culture is rich in historical heritage, national spirit and aesthetic value. In the ideological and political education of colleges and universities, the integration of traditional Chinese music culture can not only enrich the content of education, enhance the infectious force and effectiveness of education, but also enhance the students' cultural self-confidence and sense of national identity. This paper discusses the value of traditional Chinese music culture in ideological and political education in colleges and universities, including its positive effects on the cultivation of students' moral sentiment, enhancement of cultural self-confidence, and cultivation of innovative thinking, etc. It also proposes a path of integration, including the construction of the curriculum system, the development of practical activities, and the use of new media platforms, etc., with the aim of promoting the in-depth integration of traditional music culture and ideological and political education, and fostering the all-round development of students.
